Congratulations to the 2023 Gus Fabrikis Bursary recipients! These four individuals have been an active part of the London soccer community, and are off to do great things as they prepare for the next stage of their lives.
ELGIN MIDDLESEX DISTRICT SOCCER LEAGUE
Eligibility: Any Boy or Girl in their graduating year, playing or refereeing in the EMDSL league play. Bursary applies to person applying and not to any educational institution. Open to all players and/or referees in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Divisions
Bursary: $1,000 per person. 2 people total. 1 male and 1 female for 2024
Presentation: At the EMDSL AGM in November
Selection of Winners:
Candidates will submit a resume of playing, coaching and or refereeing activities over their soccer career.
Candidates will submit transcript of secondary school marks
Candidates will submit a 500 word essay as to what the game of soccer means to them, and where they would like to be in the future concerning their activities in soccer.
All applications must be submitted to EMDSL by June 30th of the respective year to cgardinemdsl@gmail.com
Judging Criteria:
Judging will be based on a combination of marks, player resume and submitted essay
